“...landscape, figure, face, inner motion or whatever may be, I always paint the human being...”, the human being as a carnal fragment, a confuse trend, a dazzling flash of colour.

Conscious of the ambiguous canon of the image, Emilio Giossi encourage us to examine the complex meanders of vision in depth and also to exercise another glance which lets us obliquely in the invisible dimension. In order to live in it, according to Didi-Huberman's suggestion, what is required is “to open up the shape”.
